Which Sand Is Right for Your Job?

Different sands are built for different applications. Here's a quick reference:

• Sydney Sand: Fine, triple-washed sand for rendering, tiling and plastering. Also known as beach sand or Newcastle sand.
• White Bush & Yellow Bush Sand: Bricklaying and mortar work. White bush gives a lighter mortar joint; yellow bush is the cost-effective choice for hidden or rendered walls.
• Nepean Sand: Coarse, washed sand for concrete and paving applications. Reliable drainage and strength characteristics.
• Coarse Wash Sand: Heavy-duty concrete mixes and structural work requiring a coarser aggregate blend.
• Fill Sand: Bulk fill for trenches, site levelling and sub-base preparation. Available in large quantities for civil and commercial jobs.
• Uni Sand (Dried Sand): Fine, kiln-dried sand for joint filling in paving and landscape work.
